At a shopfitting spray shop on the Colwick estate near Arnold, sanding board and spraying solvent lacquer, the sanding extraction and the spray booth had lost capture and wood dust and lacquer mist were escaping into the workshop. We measured capture at the sanding stations and the booth face, checked the ducting and the filters, and found a booth below its face velocity and a loaded filter dragging the run. We set out the remedial action, and re-tested to confirm the control before certifying.
