At a rotational-moulding plant on the Furnham estate near Chard, charging polymer powder and curing in the oven, the extraction over the powder-charging station and the oven had lost capture and plastic powder and oven fume were carrying across the floor. We measured capture at the charging station and the oven vent, checked the ducting and the filter, and found a fan below duty dragging the run. We set out the remedial action, and re-tested to confirm the control before certifying.
