At a blow-moulding shop on the Vale Park estate near Evesham, moulding containers and granulating the trim, the extraction over the moulders and the granulator had lost capture and heated-polymer fume and plastic dust were carrying across the floor. We measured capture at the moulders and the granulator, checked the ducting and the filter, and found a fan below duty dragging the run. We set out the remedial action, and re-tested to confirm the control before certifying.
