At a cosmetics and aerosol-filling plant on the Ancells units near Fleet, filling in solvent and propellant and dusting powder, the extraction over the blending vessel, the aerosol-fill line and the powder-fill head had lost capture and solvent vapour and powder dust were carrying across the floor. We measured capture at the blending vessel, the fill line and the powder head, checked the ducting and the carbon filter, and found a fan below duty dragging the run. We set out the remedial action, and re-tested to confirm the control before certifying.
