At a weaving and finishing mill on the Grangefield estate near Pudsey, weaving cloth and raising and cropping the nap, the extraction over the loom shed, the raising machine and the cropper had lost capture and wool-fibre dust was drifting across the floor. We measured capture at the looms, the raising machine and the cropper, checked the ducting and the filter, and found a fan below duty dragging the run. We set out the remedial action, and re-tested to confirm the control before certifying.
